What to expect during your Lympedema Session
Initial Session & Evaluation
Your first session is an integral part of establishing care for your lymphedema. Bailey will discuss your medical history and experiences with lymphedema with you. Detailed measurements will be taken, and a treatment plan will be created. From there, she’ll go over the process and timeline for your specific case, as well as expectations. You’ll be provided a list of any supplies and other requirements necessary to begin treatment. Clients will also be taught MLD exercises to perform at home.

*If you have been previously fitted for compression garments, please bring them to your appointment. If you do not have compression garments, you will be fitted for garments after Phase I of treatment.
Length: 75-90 minutes
Cost: $185
CDT Session (Phase I)
Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is the Gold Standard for Lymphedema care. This requires both in-person visits and diligent home care. During Phase I, or “Intensive Phase,” you will come to the studio more frequently to reduce swelling. At each in-person visit, we will take measurements and do a wellness check-in. After addressing any new concerns, you’ll receive Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), skin care, and compression.
Phase I is typically 2-4 weeks long for upper extremity involvement and 4-6 weeks for lower extremity involvement when the client comes 3-5 times a week. We understand that 3-5 times a week is not feasible for most clients. We will discuss options at the Initial Session & Evaluation.
*In order to begin CDT sessions, clients must have all supplies available and appointments scheduled for the duration of the treatment plan.
Length: 60 minutes
Cost: $145
CDT Session (Phase II)
Once you have successfully completed Phase I, you graduate to Phase II, or “Maintenance Phase.” This requires less frequent in-person visits, but daily home care is expected to maintain results. Clients who are 100% compliant can see further reduction in swelling.
Your first Phase II visit is scheduled three months after completing Phase I. Subsequent visits are every six months, unless you notice a return in swelling. If you see an increase in swelling, call us to schedule an appointment immediately. It is easier to stop swelling in the early stages before it progresses.
Length: 60 minutes
Cost: $145
